Fabley Studios exists because of a simple conviction: intimate portraiture is not about how you look. It is about creating a feeling of beauty.
The camera has no opinion. That is why our sessions are built on direction, patience, and an unhurried eye. You are not expected to know how to pose. You are not expected to arrive confident. You are expected to arrive, and we will handle the rest.
We start with a conversation, not a contract. We talk about what draws you to this, what makes you nervous, and what you want to feel when you see the finished work. Then we plan your session around that answer.
On the day, you are directed through everything. Where to place your hands. Where to look. When to breathe. Posing is our job, not yours. Between setups there is music, water, laughter, and as many pauses as you need. Nothing is rushed, and nothing happens without your yes.
And when your gallery is ready, you will already know what it costs. Which brings us to the part of this industry we refuse to participate in.

Behind The Camera
Fabley Studios is led by Chris, a Boise photographer whose work spans luxury editorial portraiture and the occasional rodeo arena, which is its own kind of intimacy at 40 miles an hour. His approach in the studio is calm, precise, and unfailingly respectful: light first, direction always, ego never.
Cheryl is the other half of every session. She guides posing, manages the small details you would otherwise worry about, and is generally the reason clients forget to be nervous by the second setup. Many clients tell us her presence is what made the experience feel safe enough to be fun.
We welcome every body, every age, and every relationship. Couples sessions are available for all configurations. The only requirement for a Fabley portrait is that you show up.
